Rowland wants to help BG keep small-town feel

Sandy Rowland is filing petitions with the Board of Elections to run as a Democrat for the Fourth Ward
City Council position.
Rowland is a long-time resident of Bowling Green and a graduate of Bowling Green High School. She
attended Bowling Green State University. She worked as director of the Great Lakes Regional Office of
The Humane Society of the United States for 27 years.
Rowland is currently a Realtor for Danberry Realty. She has been honored as being one of the company’s
top producers in 2010, and also has been recognized by the Ohio Board of Realtors President’s Club as
well as the Toledo Board of Realtors President’s Club, both in 2010. She was named "Rookie of the
Year" by the Perrysburg office of Danberry Realty her first year as a Realtor.
Rowland has served the Bowling Green community in a variety of ways. She is president of the Bowling
Green Exchange Club, vice president of Maumee Valley Unitarian Congregation, board member of Habitat for
Humanity and member and past chair of the City of Bowling Green Human Relations Commission.
She is concerned with maintaining Bowling Green’s small-town welcome feel. "On council, I would work
hard to maintain our great community despite the difficult economic times."
