Snow parking emergency in BG
Bowling Green declared a snow parking emergency as of 8 this morning.
All vehicles were to be off designated snow streets by 10 a.m. or be subject to a ticket and tow at the
owner’s expense.
Mid-County mtg. rescheduled
Due to threatening weather, the Mid-County Ambulance District has canceled tonight’s meeting and has
rescheduled it for Feb. 8 at 5 p.m.
BG Post Office Passport Fair
The Bowling Green Post Office will hold a Passport Fair Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Applicants will need proof of U.S. citizenship such as a certified birth certificate (not a copy), a
previous U.S. passport, a certificate of citizenship or a naturalization certificate. A hospital-issued
birth certificate is not acceptable. Also needed will be proof of identity such as a previous passport,
a naturalization certificate, certificate of citizenship, a valid driver’s license, government or
military photo ID.
A photocopy of the applicants ID (front and back) must be submitted with the application. For minors
under 16, a copy of both parents’ ID must be submitted.
Fees range up to $165 for those age 16 and over and up to $120 for those under age 16.

Wednesday – Snow with a chance of freezing rain in the morning, then snow showers in the afternoon.
Additional snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches. Ice accumulation around a trace. Brisk with highs in the
upper 20s early with the temperature falling to around 20 in the afternoon. North winds 15 to 25 mph
with gusts up to 35 mph. Lows around 2 above with wind chill around 12 below zero.
Extended forecast - Becoming mostly sunny Thursday. Highs around 17, but wind chill values as low as 13
below in the morning. Overnight lows around zero. Partly cloudy Friday with highs around 20 and lows
around 10. Cloudy Saturday with a 30-percent chance of snow. Highs in the upper 20s and lows around 20.
Cloudy again Sunday with highs in the lower 30s.
