Keith Leone Hoiles, age 83, of Bradner, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday
(January 30, 2011) at Toledo Hospital.
He was born on May 8, 1927 (Mothers Day) in Bradner to the late Sprague Leon and Stella Leone (Stump)
Hoiles. He married Lois R. Heminger on January 15, 1949 in Wayne.
Surviving are his faithful wife of 62 years Lois; son, Kent Leone Hoiles of Bradner; daughter, Patricia
(Stephen) Doty of Fostoria; grandsons, Jason Andrew and Brian Keith Doty.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
Keith began working at the age of 16 for the C&O Railroad at the Toledo Docks, where he worked
for over 40 years.
He was a Navy Veteran of W.W. II, having served on the USS Uvalde (aka 88) and the USS Pasadena (aka
CL65). He was a member and past commander of the former Carl Crowfoot American Legion Post #36 in
Risingsun and a current member of the Albert Bowe American Legion Post #338 in Bradner.
He loved horses, hunting mushrooms, planting his vegetable garden and fishing.
Friends will be received from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday (May 8, 2011) at Barndt Funeral Home in Wayne, where a
Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Graham Cemetery near Wayne.
