The funeral for Robert Betz, 81, of Weston, has been delayed to Friday at 11 a.m. at Peinert Funeral
Home, Tontogany.
Robert (Bob) Betz, age 81, of Weston, Ohio died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011 at St. Luke’s Hospital.
He was born in Bowling Green, Ohio on July 28, 1929 to Cash and Crystal (Older) Betz.
Bob was employed at Campbell Soup as a shift Supervisor for 39 years.
He served in the Korean War, was a member of the American Legion Post #441, also a lifetime member of the
VFW in Bowling Green.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Phyllis Buehrer Betz, four siblings, Duane (Peg) Betz;
Neva (Leon) Studer; Sandy (Tom) Walters; Sandy Desgrange, three children, Connie (Melvin) Mehring,
Tontogany; Gary (Kathy) Betz, Weston; Raymond Betz, Bowling Green, six grandchildren Diana Johnson;
Kimberly (Pat) Etchie; Jamie Mehring; Gary (Sabrina) Betz; Lesa (Ralph) Herman; Jason (Stacy) Gambill,
10 great grandchildren, Logann
and Brandon Johnson; Alexis
and Carley Etchie; Dylan Herman; Taylor, Riley
and Ethyn Betz; Michael
and Chelsea Gambill; 2 great great Grandchildren, Blake
and Sophia Johnson.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents a daughter, Roberta Mae; 3 great great grand kids Brianna,
Connor,
and Bryce Etchie.
Friends and family will be received Tuesday February 1, 2011 at Peinert Funeral Home, Tontogany, Ohio
from 3 to 8 p.m.. Funeral services will be Wednesday in the funeral home at 11 a.m. with Pastor Rick
Braughton officiating.
