Prep Roundup: Perrysburg girls score win (01-31-11)

Perrysburg’s girls remained one game back of first place in the Northern Lakes League with a 40-35 win at
Southview on Saturday.
In other NLL girls games, it was: Bowling Green 45, Rossford 43; and Northview 67, Maumee 42.
In a non-league girls game, Lakota defeated Old Fort, 41-36.
In a non-league boys games it was Oak Harbor 55, Eastwood 53;.
In a Toledo Area Athletic Conference game it was: Northwood 68, Emmanuel Christian 34.
GIRLS
Perrysburg 40, Southview 35
In Sylvania, the Yellow Jackets improved to 12-2 overall and 8-1 in the NLL. Perrysburg trails
league-leading Northview (9-0 NLL) by one game.
Perrysburg’s Kelsea Newman had a game-high 14 points.
Lexi Lopez led Southview (7-5, 4-4) with 12 points.
Northview 67, Maumee 42
In Maumee, Northview’s Miriam Justinger poured in 23 points and the Wildcats (13-2 overall) stayed
undefeated in the NLL.
Jessica Jessing had 16 points for Northview and Skylar Rose added 11.
Maddie Walker led the Panthers (3-11, 1-7) with 16 points.
Lakota 41, Old Fort 36
In Kansas, Amy Gosche and Jessica Hoffman combined for 30 points and 24 rebounds to pace Lakota past Old
Fort in a non-league game. Lakota is 4-10 overall.
Gosche had 17 points, 11 rebounds and four steals. Hoffman added 13 points and 13 rebounds.
Johanna Becker led Old Fort (5-10) with 13 points.
BOYS
Oak Harbor 55, Eastwood 53
In Luckey, Oak Harbor’s Steve Young scored on an offensive rebound at the buzzer to help the Rockets edge
Eastwood. The Eagles are 4-8 overall.
Oak Harbor out-scored Eastwood, 22-7 at the free-throw line.
Jake Faykosh led Eastwood with 27 points, including five 3-pointers.

Northwood 34
In Toledo, EC out-scored Northwood 41-18 over the middle two quarters en route to the TAAC victory.
Tony Behan led all players with 22 points for the Warriors, now 7-7, 3-4. Tyrese Edwards added 16 and
Ryan Creech finished with 11.
Rick Hartley led Northwood (3-11, 2-6) with 15 points.
