Falcon men seek another home win (01-28-11)

Bowling Green’s men are looking to continue their home-court advantage, hosting Eastern Michigan
Saturday. Tipoff is at 3 p.m. in Anderson Arena.
The Falcons are 6-2 at home, having won five straight in Anderson Arena, including two straight
Mid-American Conference games. BG is 8-3 in its last 11 games.
BG is coming off a 70-64 win over arch-rival Toledo, as four players scored in double figures, led by
A’uston Calhoun’s double-double of 21 points and 13 rebounds.
Scott Thomas leads the Falcons, averaging 11.0 points and 7.3 rebounds per game.
Calhoun is averaging 10.8 ppg. He is averaging 15.8 ppg over his last seven games, including three games
of 20 or more points.
The first 1,500 fans Saturday will receive an Anderson Arena Poster, and the first 500 fans will also
receive the eighth of 13 All-Anderson trading cards. Fans attending the basketball game can use their
ticket stub to receive a $6 ticket to that night’s BG-Lake Superior hockey game.
SCOUTING EMU: Eastern Michigan is 5-14 overall and 2-4 in the MAC, coming off a 79-65 loss at Ohio on
Wednesday.
EMU’s Brandon Bowdry, a 6-foot-6 senior, is an all-conference caliber player. He is averaging 19.6
points, second in the MAC, and 9.5 rebounds per game, tops in the conference.
Bowdry has recorded 32 double-doubles.
Derek Thompson, a 6-3 sophomore, is averaging 10.6 ppg.
Jamell Harris, a 6-9 sophomore, leads the MAC in blocked shots at 2.47 per game.
Eastern is averaging 61.9 ppg while allowing 65.4.
