Nick Maas

C. Nick Maas, 62, of Findlay died at 6:20 AM Thursday, January 20, 2011 at the Bridge Hospice Care
Center.
Nick was born on November 2, 1948 in McComb to the late Andrew and Ethel (Mercer) Maas. He married Eileen
(Feehan) Wotschak, and they later divorced. She survives in Sims, NC. Nick later married Barbara J.
(Lewis) Hunt on July 8, 2000, and she survives.
Also surviving are four children: Jeff (Renee) Maas of NC; Eric (Julie) Maas, missionaries in Belize;
Susanne (Tim) Anderson of Hillsborough, NC and Angie (Seth) Roseberry of Waterville; three
step-children: Randy (Maxine) Hunt of Tiffin; Gary (Jodi) Hunt of Fostoria and Deb (Bill) Miller of
Dunkirk; one brother, Jim (Rosie) Maas of Bowling Green; one sister, Mary Ann (Clay) Mathile of
Brookville; 25 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Nick was an active member of Upper Room Church of God, and participated in two missionary trips to
Belize.
He worked at Consolidated Biscuit of McComb and was a volunteer at the Sheriff’s Office.
He loved to camp, fish, and watch football; was an avid OSU and Cleveland Browns fan.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 24, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME.
Bishop Terry McBeath will be officiating, with burial to follow at Knollcrest Gardens, East of Findlay.

Visitation will be Sunday, January 23, 2011 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and an hour prior
(9:30-10:30 a.m.) to the service on Monday.
