BG Parks and Rec to host cornhole tourney
Bowling Green Parks and Recreation will be hosting the Adult Coed Cornhole Tournament as part of the 2011
Bowling Green Winterfest events.
Costs are $30 per team. Each team must consist of one male and one female thrower. Participants must be
ages 21 and older.
Snacks and prizes will be provided by Qdoba Mexican Grill. Teams are guaranteed two games in this
double-elimination format. The tournament will begin at 1 p.m. in the Veterans building, located in City
Park.
Tournament is limited to 16 teams and the final registration deadline is Feb. 17. Register at the Bowling

BGCTA to hold tennis clinics
The Bowling Green Community Tennis Association will hold an introductory tennis skills clinic for
children ages 4-8. This five-week clinic will cover the fundamentals of tennis as well as developing
motor skills related to the sport. Foam tennis balls will be used and free loaner rackets are available.

The program will run on Thursday evenings, running Feb. 24-March 24. Four- and five-year olds will work
one-on-one with their parents from 5-5:45 p.m. with the help of a lead instructor. Six-, seven- and
eight-year olds will work with instructors from 6-7 p.m. (parents must be present).
The costs for five weeks are $25 per participant. Clinics will be held at the Veteran’s South Building in

Otsego boys basketball stats
The Otsego boys basketball team’s statistics were reported in time for the Sentinel-Tribune’s weekly prep
stats leaders, but due to a mistake by the Sentinel sports staff, the stats were not printed in
Thursday’s paper and the team was listed as not reporting.
Players that qualified for the leaders for the Knights were: A.C. Limes, 12.7 points per game, 54 percent
2-point field-goal percentage, 65 percent free-throw percentage, 6.7 rebounds per game; Ryan Smoyer,
10.5 ppg, 33 percent 3-point field-goal percentage, 61 percent free-throw percentage; Sam Forshey, 7.2
rpg; and Tommy Rodgers, 3.5 assists per game.
