Richard D. Boltz, 76, of Jerry City, Ohio, passed away Friday January 21, 2011.
Richard was born in Bloomdale, Ohio to the late Roy and Ellen (Davis) Boltz.
He married Katie Musser October 13, 1956 in the Christ United Methodist Church in Portage and she
survives in Jerry City.
Also surviving are his children: Bob (Beth) and David Boltz, all of Bowling Green; Barbie Boltz of De
Leon Springs, Florida; seven grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Roy Junior Boltz.
Richard was a 1952 graduate of Bowling Green High School.
He proudly served his country in the U S Army.
He was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church in Portage and the Lions Club where he was
currently their president. He was also a member of the Rebekah Lodge & the Odd Fellows helping
place flags on veterans’ graves.
Richard enjoyed playing cards especially euchre and pinochle. He was a family man and loved playing Uno
with his grandchildren.
He also enjoyed having family dinners after church on Sundays.
In his spare time, Richard bowled where he was a part of many leagues; he enjoyed watching Tiger Woods
play golf.

January 24, 2011 from 10 a.m. until the time of his funeral service at 11AM in the Christ United
Methodist Church, 301 W. Main St. Portage, OH 43451.
