Prep roundup: NB boys defeat Lakota (1-21-11)

Parker Emahiser had 13 points and 13 rebounds Thursday to help North Baltimore’s boys to a 53-39 win over
Lakota in a Midland Athletic League boys game.
NB pulled away over the middle two quarters to a 39-20 lead after holding a 12-11 after the first eight
minutes.
In girls Suburban Lakes League games, it was: Lake 47, Elmwood 29; Genoa 65, Eastwood 43; and Woodmore
55, Otsego 35.
In a Toledo Area Athletic Conference girls game, Ottawa Hills defeated Northwood, 69-22.
BOYS
North Baltimore 53, Lakota 39
In North Baltimore, Tyler Schloemp added 12 points, Clinton Ebright scored 11 and Mitchell Archer had 10
as NB improved to 5-8 overall and 2-4 in the MAL.
Nick McDole, Dillon Reinhart and Ryan Chalfin each had nine points for Lakota (0-11, 0-6).
GIRLS
Genoa 65, Eastwood 43
In Genoa, the Comets built a 42-21 lead at the half to remain one game behind Lake.
Genoa is 13-1 overall and 5-1 in the SLL. Lake leads the league at 6-0.
Jessica Feller led Genoa with 15 points, while Julie Swartzmiller added 11.
Diana Bushman and Kelsey Weaver both had 14 points for Eastwood (1-11, 0-6).
Woodmore 55, Otsego 35
In Elmore, Woodmore held Otsego to seven points in the second half to overcome a 28-21 deficit at the
break.
Kalyn Tate scored a game-high 18 points for Woodmore (8-6, 5-2).
Katie Blausey added 11 points for Woodmore, while Chelsea Garver and Audrey Thorbahn both added 10.
Micaela Murphy and Megan Bundy each scored eight points for Otsego (4-10, 3-4).
Ottawa Hills 69, Northwood 22
In Ottawa Hills, the Green Bears took a 19-0 lead after one quarter to improve to 11-0 overall and 7-0 in
the TAAC.
Sandy Koch had six points for Northwood (4-9, 3-4)
BOYS BOWLING
BG splits three-way match
In Port Clinton, the home lanes favored Port Clinton as the bowlers avenged a December loss to Bowling
Green, topping the Bobcats 2,738-2,638. At the same time, BG (5-2 overall, 3-1 in the Northern Lakes
League) topped Lexington which totaled 2,107 in the three-way match.
BG trailed PC 1,864-1,734 after the regular games and had knocked 30 pins off the margin in the Baker
games.
The Bobcats were led by Cameron Walter with a 212 for 375 and Yuan Ybanes at 355. Port Clinton’s Sean
Black led all bowlers with a 234 for 418.
GIRLS BOWLING
BG tops PC
At Port Clinton on Saturday Bowling Green’s girls bowlers defeated Port Clinton 2,326-1,813. BG led
1,552-1,244 after the regular games and built the lead with a 774-569 advantage in the five Baker games.

The Bobcats were led by Kelsey Hammersmith with games of 225 and192 for 417 total, Patience Stockwell
added 168 and 178 for BG.

Port remained undefeated at 11-0,, topping Bowling Green, 2,503-2,291. BG also defeated Lexington at
1,718.
