Casper, WY.
Tom was born in Fostoria, Ohio to Huston E.B. Chapman II and Minnie Marie (Harshberger) Chapman. The
third of four boys, Tom graduated from Bowling Green High School in 1961. He maintained contact with
several friends through the years and cherished each and every one of them.
Tom served his country in the United States Navy from 1961-1965 in communications and intelligence. He
was stationed in Guantanamo Bay (Cuba), Morocco (N.W. Africa), and Scotland.
As an amateur paleontologist, Tom enjoyed looking for bones, rocks, birds, and animals in the Wyoming
land he dearly loved. He spent nearly every day outside. Tom was also an artist. Works given to many
loved ones were framed and hung, even those showing Tom’s unique sense of humor.
Tom worked as a cook in several Casper and Glenrock restaurants. Known as the best cook in town, he won
many awards with his green and red chili, one of his favorite dishes.
Tom was preceded by his father, mother, and two brothers, Max Chapman of Wilsonville, OR, and Burly
Chapman of Washington, PA.
Tom is survived by his long time partner, Sharron L. Pressler, of Casper, WY; daughters Kelly Chapman and
Amber McEachern of Casper; Beth and Becky Chapman of NY, and son Jamie of Ohio; brother Ronald (Dianne)
Chapman of Charlevoix, MI; sisters-in-law Donna Chapman of Washington, PA and Carol Hargadine-Chapman of
Wilsonville, OR. Also, surviving and loved dearly are his grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
