Prep Roundup – Elmwood boys fall to PH in overtime

Elmwood’s boys let a nine-point halftime lead slip away at Patrick Henry on Saturday, losing 61-60 in
overtime.
In other non-league boys games, it was: Toledo Christian 52, Eastwood 50; Swanton 84, Lake 62; and North
Baltimore 48, Hardin Northern 37.
In Northern Lakes League boys games, it was: Bowling Green 74, Anthony Wayne 31; Springfield 56,
Perrysburg 39; Northview 77, Rossford 54; and Southview 52, Maumee 51.
In a girls Suburban Lakes League makeup game, Woodmore topped Elmwood, 47-34.
In a Toledo Area Athletic Conference girls game, Toledo Christian defeated Northwood, 69-43.
And in non-league girls games, it was: Delta 54, Otsego 40; and Arcadia 64, North Baltimore 22.
BOYS
Patrick Henry 61, Elmwood 60
In Hamler, the Patriots out-scored Elmwood 44-34 after halftime for the non-league victory.
PH is 7-2 overall, while Elmwood is 8-2.
Elmwood’s TJ Waldock led all players with 22 points. Kevin Hammer had 16 points and Jay Hannah added 14
for the Royals.
Kent Tietje led PH with 20 points.
Northview 77, Rossford 54
In Sylvania, five players scored in double figures as Northview won in NLL play for the first time this
season.
James Racicot led Northview with 14 points, while Brandyn Hall and Jacob Sturt both had 13, and Danzel
Weaton and Casey Schaffer both added 12. The Wildcats are 2-8, 1-6.
Rossford (3-9, 1-7) was led by Larry Sloan with 17 points, Drew Brock with 12 and Josh Perry with 11.
Southview 52, Maumee 51
In Sylvania, Southview’s Denard Pinckney made a 16-foot jump shot at the buzzer to seal the league
victory.
Southview is 6-4 overall and 4-3 in the NLL. Maumee is 5-6, 4-4.
Joe Vermilya led the Cougars with 15 points, while Pinckney had 13 and David Renner added 11.
Shawn Flanagan led the Panthers with a game-high 18 points.
Toledo Christian 52, Eastwood 50
In Toledo, the Eagles lost the non-league game.
Eastwood is 2-6. TC is 5-3.

Swanton 84, Lake 62
In Swanton, the Bulldogs out-scored Lake 56-27 over the middle two quarters en route to the non-league
win.
Garrett Michalkiwicz paced the Bulldogs with 28 points, and Travis Hilton and Shane Bloom chipped in with
19 and 12 points, respectively.
Kurt McKee and Ryan Kohlhofer each scored 10 points for Lake, now 6-5.
Hardin Northern 48, North Baltimore 37
In Dola, NB out-scored Hardin Northern 29-11 in the second half on its way to the non-league win.
Clinton Ebright led the Tigers, now 4-8, with 13 points. Tommy Hillard finished with 11 points and
Mitchell Archer added 10 for NB.
Bobby Steiner had 17 points for HN, now 1-9.
GIRLS
Woodmore 47, Elmwood 34
In Elmore, Woodmore out-scored Elmwood 22-6 in the third quarter en route to the SLL victory.
The Wildcats are 6-6 overall and 4-2 in the SLL. Elmwood is 2-9, 2-4.
Toledo Christian 69, Northwood 43
In Northwood, TC led 36-18 at halftime and cruised to the TAAC win.
The Eagles are 7-3 overall and 5-1 in the TAAC. Northwood is 4-8, 3-3.
Bethany Critchley poured in a game-high 24 points and Abbey Fox pumped in 23 to lead the Eagles.
Becca Bisbee led Northwood with 10 points.
Delta 54, Otsego 40
In Delta, the Panthers broke open a tie game at halftime, out-scoring Otsego 21-7 in the third quarter
for the win.
Hannah Greulich, Lexi Levin, and Megan Bundy each had seven points for Otsego, now 4-9.
Alexa Salsbury led all players with 17 points for Delta.
Arcadia 64, North Baltimore 22
In Arcadia, NB was held to seven points in the first half as Arcadia routed the Tigers in the non-league
game.
Lesix Fleegle had a game-high 20 points for Arcadia, now 11-1.
Brianna Ferguson led NB (10-4) with six points.
