Portage Twp. adjusts meeting
The Portage Township trustees have changed their next meeting to Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. due to the holiday
on Monday.
The meeting will be held at the township hall at the corner of Mermill and Huffman roads.
Walbridge VFW serves dinner
WALBRIDGE – A ham and scalloped potatoes dinner will be held Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Walbridge
VFW No. 9963 Post. It will include vegetables, salad, rolls and desert.
The cost is $8 per person.
BG Arts Council logos on display
The top five winners in the Bowling Green Arts Council’s logo contest are now on display in the southern
window of Ben Franklin Variety and Crafts on South Main Street. The display will be up through Jan. 24.

Thrivent meets on Sunday
The Wood County Chapter of Thrivent No. 30023 will meet on Sunday at Abiding Word Lutheran Church, 17202
N. Mercer Road, Bowling Green.
The meeting will begin at 2:30 p.m. and is open to all Thrivent members.
Haskins Council will meet Jan. 24
HASKINS – The village council meeting scheduled for Monday has been changed to Jan. 24 because of the
Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.
For the remainder of 2011, council will usually meet on the first and third Mondays at 7 p.m. However,
meeting dates for the first Mondays in July and September are uncertain because of the July 4 and Labor
Day holidays.
The Planning Commission will meet the first Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m.
Mayor’s Court is scheduled the first and third Tuesdays at 5 p.m.
