Mike C. Crofts, age 58, of Pemberville, OH, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at the
University of Toledo Medical College, Toledo, OH.
On August 3, 1952 he was born in Toledo, OH to Charles and Joyce (Hallauer) Crofts. In Toledo, OH, he
married Pamela Jacobs on July 9, 1976 and she survives.
Mike formerly owned Pro-Aquatic Pet Shop, Northwood, OH and presently was a supervisor at the Toledo Zoo.
Since 1985 he volunteered at the Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge and received Volunteer of the Year
Award. He was instrumental in the forming of the Friends Group of the Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge
Association, served on the Association Board since its formation and was Past President of the Board of
Directors.
Mike is survived by his wife; Pam, children: Ken (Jennifer) Meece of Pemberville, OH, Shawn (Lance)
Bryant of Parma, OH, Eric (Amy) Crofts of Walbridge, OH, grandchildren: Amber, Austin, Ally, Adam,
Alexandra, Lance, great-grandchildren: Jimmy, Josh, Jacob, mother: Joyce Crofts of Northwood, OH,
brothers: Chris (Janice) Crofts of Northwood, OH, Scott (Laurie) Crofts of Bolivar, OH.
He was preceded in death by his father: Charles Crofts.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, January 13, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. at the
Marsh Funeral Home, 4094 State Route 105, Pemberville, OH, where funeral services will be conducted on
Friday, January 14, 2011 at 11 a.m. Officiating will be Rev. James Hughes. There will be a bereavement
luncheon served at the Emmanuel Freewill Baptist Church, Luckey, OH immediately following the funeral
services.
