Josh Ayers

Josh Ayers, 35, of Bowling Green, passed away Saturday, January 8, 2011.
He was born in Bowling Green, OH to Kari Perkins. Josh in the Fall of 2004 met his wife Shannon (Favri)
Ayers at Nate and Wally’s in Bowling Green and according to everyone it was truly love at first sight.
They were married February 23, 2007 and she survives in Bowling Green. Also surviving is his mother,
Kari, of Bowling Green; special father figures Doug Auchmuty of North Baltimore and Mike Kohl of
Continental; daughters, Taylor of Napoleon and Lauren of Bowling Green; his son, Gage, of Bowling Green;
a sister, Ashley (Ryan) Eaken, of McComb; and his granny, Norma Schmidt of Bowling Green
He was preceded in death by his grandpa, Clifford Perkins.
Josh worked for Cooper Standard for 16 years, where he was a part of the Union # 1152 and was a 1993
graduate of Four County Vocational School where he specialized in Graphic Arts, and Wauseon High School
where he was on the wrestling team.
According to his family he was a great cook, he was known for his beef and noodles and smoked chicken. He
made up many recipes and he and his close friends had their own cookbook.
Josh was an avid Ohio State and Cleveland Brown Football fan. He was a true expert of 1970s music with
his favorite artist being Eric Clapton. In his spare time, Josh loved to draw, play Frisbee golf, go
camping especially at Hog Back Lake in Angola, Indiana and spend time with his children. He had a close
bond with his son Gage. They would do sidewalk designs and surprise Shannon when she came home from
work, also play video games and just overall had great bonding time together. He was also into
construction; he built bunk beds for his cousins and a hope chest and also a baseball case for his good
friend Ed.
He will be truly missed by his friends and family and the memories of him will live on forever.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 11, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the DECK-HANNEMAN FUNERAL
