Gleaners hold dinner meeting
Portage Arbor 524 of Gleaners Life Insurance will hold a dinner meeting on Saturday at 6 p.m. at the
Whistle Stop in North Baltimore.
Members are reminded of the birthday exchange.
Eagles host Friday fish fry
The Bowling Green Eagles will serve an all-you-can-eat fish fry on Friday at the aerie, 1163 N. Main St.,
from 5 to 8 p.m. The meal includes cole slaw, baked potato, roll and fountain drink for $8.
Food giveaway at BG church
First United Methodist Church in Bowling Green will hold its government food distribution and senior food
box program on Friday from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
The church is located at 1526 E. Wooster ST.
Westion Legion has Friday meal
WESTON – Weston American Legion Post No. 409 will hold a baked steak and fish fry supper on Friday from 5
to 7 p.m.
The post is located at 13180 S. Main St.
A donation of $8 is requested, and carry-out is available.
Gardner is Kiwanis guest
State Representative Randy Gardner will speak to the Bowling Green Kiwanis Club at noon on Thursday at
Stone Ridge Golf Club.
Gardner is beginning his 11th term as the representative for the 6th House District, which includes Wood
County. He previously served in the House from 1985 to 2000 and in the state Senate from 2001 to 2008.
Representative Gardner received both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Bowling Green State
University. Prior to joining the House, he worked as a realtor and a high school history and government
teacher.
