Girls basketball roundup; Lake, Lakota, Otsego all win

Lake, Lakota and Otsego all won Friday on the first night of girls high school basketball.
Lake was a 41-32 winner over Delta, Lakota was an 81-17 winner over Bettsville and Otsego was a 56-41
winner over North Baltimore.
In the only other game involving a Wood County school, Elmwood was a 64-35 loser to Holgate.
Lake 41, Delta 32
In Delta, Kaysie Brittenham scored 16 points to help Lake to its win.
The Flyers, who were 20-0 during the regular season a year ago, took a 14-4 lead after one quarter and
held off Delta after that.
Otsego 56, NB 41
In Tontogany, Jamie Limes scored a game-high 13 points, Katelyn Downing added 11 and Baley Bernthisel had
10 for Otsego.
The Knights took a 17-13 lead after one quarter and extended the lead to 25-18 at the half and 44-27
after three quarters.
Jessica Casey led NB with seven points.
Holgate 64, Elmwood 35
In Jerry City, Holgate took a 27-12 lead after one quarter en route to its win.
Emily Reynolds led Elmwood with 10 points.
Lakota 81, Bettsville 17
In Kansas, Amy Gosche had 21 points, Hannah Podach added 15 points and Rachel Hoffman scored 10 to lead
Lakota.
Gosche was 10-of-17 from the field. She also have five blocked shots and nine rebounds, while Hoffman had
eight rebounds.
