Cavanaugh, Titus each win 9 events for BG Swim Club

FREMONT – Michael Cavanaugh and Kelly Titus each won nine individual events to lead the Bowling Green
Swim Club at the recent Black Swamp Invitational at the Fremont Ross Natatorium.
Cavanaugh, 15-and-over male, won the 100 (48.53), 200 (1:47.70) and 500 freestyles (5:03.05); 200
(2:03.15) and 400 individual medley (4:26.84); 200 butterfly (2:05.73); 100 (57.90) and 200 (2:06.24)
backstrokes; and 200 breast stroke (2:25.75). He also had one second.
Titus, 15-and-over female, won the 100 (54.55), 200 (1:58.43) and 500 (5:12.87) freestyles; 100 (1:01.00)
and 200 butterfly (2:14.25); 200 (2:11.69) and 400 individual medley (4:38.36); 200 breast stroke
(2:27.74); and 200 backstroke (2:14.76). She also had one second.
Emmy Sehmann won the 11-12 girls 50 (26.37), 100 (56.71) and 200 (2:04.31) freestyles and 100 backstroke
(1:05.26); and the girls 14-and-under 200 backstroke (2:21.94). She also had three seconds, two thirds
and a fifth.
Christian Sobczak, 11-12 boys, won the 200 freestyle (2:10.83); and 100 breast stroke (1:05.56). Sobczak
added three seconds, two thirds, two fourths and a sixth.
Other top efforts for the local swimmers were: Jack Burroughs, 10-and-under boys, two seconds and four
other finishes in the top nine; Nathan Decker, 15-and-under boys, two seconds, five thirds and three
other finishes in the top six; Ilya Fedorchuk, 11-12 boys, 10 finishes in the top nine; C.J. Layne, six
finishes in the top nine; Marisa Martin, 15-and-over, one second and a fifth; and Emily Myrice,
14-and-under, one second plus scoring in nine other events.
