‘Ovation’ showcases flutes
Flutey Pebbles will be the featured ensemble on this week’s "Ovation @ BGSU" series broadcast
on WBGU-PBS on Thursday at 8:30 p.m.
Josh Simmons, Perrysburg, is among the members of the quartet which also includes Erin Latham, Ian Wenz
and Katie Pakizer.
The program will be re-broadcast on WBGU-DT1 on Monday at noon.
Italian glass artists at museum; Chihuly exhibition extended
TOLEDO – The Toledo Museum of Art hosts celebrated Murano glass artist Davide Salvadore for a day of
demonstrations on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 TO 5 p.m. at the Glass Pavilion.
Born into a family of glassworkers in Murano, Italy, Salvadore founded his own studio in 1987. He has
since worked at prestigious glasshouses and collaborated with designers and artists across the globe.
Free.
Also, because of the popularity of Chihuly Toledo!, the exhibition at the museum’s Glass Pavilion has
been extended through Feb. 7.
In addition, Dale Chihuly prints and handblown glass as well as other items related to the show, are now
available for purchase in the Museum Store featuring Collectors Corner.
