Elmwood picked to win SLL wrestling title
WAYNE – The Suburban Lakes League coaches made Elmwood the unanimous choice to win the league’s wrestling
title.
In the voting at the preseason coaches meeting, Elmwood received 49 points and Genoa tallied 41 for
second. The rest of the poll results were: Eastwood, 35; Gibsonburg, 23; Otsego, 18; Woodmore, 17; and
Lake, 13.
Miami downs Falcon volleyball
OXFORD – Miami defeated Bowling Green, 17-25, 25-18, 25-21, 25-19 in a Mid-American Conference volleyball
match Thursday. BG is 10-18 overall and 3-10 in the MAC.
BG’s leaders were: Corey Domek, 17 kills, 10 digs; Shari Luther, 12 kills; Allison Kearney, 37 assists;
and Alex Zlabis, 15 digs.
