Hospital adjusts visitation rules
In light of influenza activity in the region and in order to protect the health of patients, staff, and
visitors, effective today Wood County Hospital will be enacting the following visitor restrictions:
¥ Persons who are ill with respiratory illness are asked not visit Wood County Hospital
¥ Children ages 17 years or younger are asked not to visit Wood County Hospital, unless they require
medical treatment.
¥ Visitors will be limited to two healthy adults per patient.
These limitations will be in place for the entire hospital, including the Emergency and Obstetrics
Departments until further notice.
There may be exceptions to these restrictions in certain cases related to patient condition or patient
and family needs, which will be considered on a case by case basis.
Karaoke at VFW Saturday
VFW Post 1148, 719 S. Main St., Bowling Green, will host karaoke Saturday from 8 p.m. to midnight. The
event is open to the public.
Earlier Saturday VFW members can attend a Halloween potluck starting at 5 p.m.
Special VFW meeting Monday
VFW Post 1148, Bowling Green, has called a special meeting for Monday at 6:30 p.m.
The topic will be finances. All members are encouraged to attend.
Veterans Day dinner served in Perrysburg
PERRYSBURG – Perrysburg American Legion Post No. 28 will hold its annual Veterans Day dinner Nov. 9
beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Schaller Memorial Building, 130 W. Indiana Ave. The dinner is open to the
public and the cost is $12 per person.
Rich Finch, site manager of Fort Meigs, will speak about Perrysburg and how the citizens honored the 1812
war veterans. Jon Elder, Ohio delegate to Boys Nation, will talk about his experience in Washington,
D.C.

Clorox joins Hannah’s Socks
Hannah’s Socks, of Perrysburg has announced The Clorox Company is sponsoring the 2009 Hannah’s Socks
Holiday Sock Drive. The Holiday Sock Drive aims to collect 10,000 pairs of new socks that will be
distributed to homeless and domestic violence shelters in the Midwest.
