Sheriff Mark Wasylyshyn has announced that the Wood County Sheriff’s Office will have increased patrol
activity over the Halloween weekend thanks to grant funding from the Ohio Department of Public Safety,
Governor’s Highway Safety Office. Deputies will work additional hours, funded by the grant, looking for
impaired drivers, enforcing traffic laws and monitoring speed and seat belt violations.
The traffic enforcement blitz started last Friday and will continue through Sunday.
