Numerous communities are holding trick-or-treat opportunities this week, while a few organizations are
offering adult gatherings to mark the Halloween season.
The annual Downtown Trick or Treat in Bowling Green is set for Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. This daylight
event is hosted by the downtown businesses and Downtown BG. Businesses and organizations giving out
treats will display an orange pumpkin.
Members of Bowling Green State University’s Alpha Chi Omega, Kappa Kappa Gamma, and Kappa Sigma will
serve as crossing guards.
City-wide, trick or treat will be Saturday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Residents who plan to hand out treats
should turn on their porch lights and trick or treaters are encouraged to visit only those residences.

¥ North Baltimore, on Thursday from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
¥ Weston, on Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m.
The costume parade begins at 4, following registration at 3:30 p.m. at the Church of Christ on Center
Street.
¥ Grand Rapids, Saturday from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
¥ Rudolph, Saturday from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
¥ Luckey, Saturday from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
¥ Jerry City, Saturday from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
¥ Northwood, Saturday from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
¥ Walbridge, Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m.
¥ Pemberville, Saturday from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
¥ Perrysburg and Perrysburg Township, both of Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m.
Additionally, daytime trick or treating for preschoolers will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at area
businesses. Participating merchants will display at Halloween poster in their windows indicating they
are participating in the event.
¥ Rossford, Saturday, 6 to 8 p.m.
In Perrysburg, parents are encouraged to take their children on Saturday to the Perrysburg Municipal
Court at 300 Walnut St. for its 11th annual Halloween candy inspection from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The candy
will be inspected by the court’s security x-ray equipment to detect any foreign objects.
Judge Dwight Osterud will have treats for the children. Court personnel and members of Perrysburg Court
Law and Government Explorer Post #2306 will volunteer their time to staff the safety inspection.
In Walbridge, the Walbridge-Fest haunted house will be open at Loop Park Saturday from 6 to 10 p.m. In
addition to the thrills, there will be candy for trick-or-treaters. The haunted house is a fundraiser
for the non-profit Walbridge group and for the Lake School District Music Boosters.
Also on Saturday, the Dunbridge Fire Station will host cider, doughnuts and candy from 6 to 8 p.m.
For grown-ups, the Central Joint Fire District will host a Halloween costume contest on Thursday at 6
p.m. at the station at 13179 Mermill Road.
The categories are: sport costumes, cowboy, scariest, best witches, cartoon characters, princesses,
oldest and youngest participants
There will be three places awarded in each division. Donuts and apple cider will be served.
