Josephine C. Doren, age 92, of Whitehouse, Ohio passed away Saturday, October 17, 2009 at Blakely Care
Center of Bowling Green, Ohio.
She was born August 29, 1917 to Frank and Mary Lukachek Sr. She married Wilbur J. Doren Sr. on February
14, 1939 and had two children: Wilbur "Skeet" (Mary Lou) Doren of Bowling Green, Ohio and
daughter, Annette (Mac) McKee of Anchorage, Alaska; five grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Also surviving is a sister Louise Versprille of Maumee.
Preceding her in death were her husband Wilbur Doren Sr. and her brother Frank Lakachek Jr.
She was an active member of the Hope United Methodist Church in Whitehouse, Ohio and a very active member
and a Past Worthy Matron of the former Roche de Boeuf Chapter #163 Eastern Star organization.
Wilbur and Josie Doren owned and operated Doren’s Cash Market in Whitehouse for 21 years.
Services will be at Peinert Funeral Home, Whitehouse, Thursday, October 22, 2009 at 11 a.m. Rev. Tom
Hoover officiating. Interment will follow at Whitehouse Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. with an Eastern Star service at 6:30 p.m.
The family suggests memorials in the form of contributions be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, East
River Road, Perrysburg, Ohio 43551.
