Garry Galley’s son commits to BGSU
Wyatt Galley, the son of former Bowling Green Falcon hockey star Garry Galley, has verbally committed to
play college hockey at BG.
Wyatt Galley is a goalie for the Nepean Raiders in the Central Ontario Junior Hockey League. He’ll join
the BG program for the 2011-12 season.
Garry Galley was a defenseman on BG’s 1984 national championship team and is Nepean’s head coach.
Wyatt Galley, who will turn 18 in December, is one of the top goalies in the COJHL. He has a 2.57
goals-against average and a .920 save percentage in nine games this season, posting a 6-3 record.
Last season, he was first in the league with a 2.19 goals-against and fifth with a .912 save percentage.
He had a 17-2-0-1 record in 20 games.
Under NCAA rules, BG head coach Dennis Williams can’t comment on recruits until he’s received their
signed national letter of intent.

BG Pee Wee League meeting Monday
The annual fall meeting of the Bowling Green Pee Wee League is Monday night at 6:30 in the Carter Park
Red Building.
All house league coaches and interested parents in the program are encouraged to attend.
Owens men’s soccer loses
Schoolcraft College scored with 12 minutes left Wednesday for a 2-1 victory over Owens Community
College’s men’s soccer team.
Jon Moore scored for Owens (7-6-1), assisted by Jay Sesock. Owens’ Pavle Udovicic had five saves.
Owens sets baseball tryout
Prospective high school graduates and area residents interested in playing intercollegiate men’s baseball
at Owens Community College during 2010-11 academic year are invited to a open tryout Saturday.
The tryout begins at 9 a.m. and will be held at the OCC baseball complex on the Toledo-area Campus.
Scholarships are still available. Players must be high school graduates and should bring own equipment.

Otsego volleyball
was 13-1 in SLL last season
Otsego’s volleyball team won the Suburban Lakes League championship last season with a 13-1 record. An
incorrect record was published in Thursday’s Sentinel-Tribune.
St. Aloysius competes at diocese championships
OREGON – The St. Aloysius cross country team competed at the Toledo Diocese Cross Country Championships
at Maumee State Park Saturday. 35 teams participated.
Top finishers for St. Aloysius were: Garrett Kingsley (boys juniors), 16:53; Sam Scherer (boys cadets),
8:50; and Katarina Genson (girls cadets), 6:56.
Defending champ entered in PBA regional at Varsity Lanes
The Professional Bowlers Association has released a preliminary roster of entrants into this weekend’s
18th annual regional tournament at Varsity Lanes.
Top national names entered include: Brian Himmler, Chris Loschetter, Michael Machuga, Eugene McCune, Dave
D’Entremont, Brian Kretzer, David Traber, Billy Oatman and women’s series champion Jodi Woessner, from
Oregon, Ohio.
Local amateurs and professionals on the roster include: Joe Kominek, Joey Roark, Tom Romaker, Mitch
Bakies and Brian Anderson. Last year’s champion, Jeff Zaffino, is also entered.
