Prep Roundup: Perrysburg girls soccer wins 11th straight

Samantha O’Connor, Brittany Ganss and Emily Bartholomew scored goals Wednesday as Perrysburg’s girls
soccer team won its 11th straight match, a 3-1 victory over visiting Northview.
Perrysburg improved to 13-3 overall and finished second in the Northern Lakes League.
Emily Linthicum and Kirsten Goins each had one assist for Perrysburg.
In goal for Perrysburg were Kelsey Draper with four saves and Mollie Whitacre with two saves.
Eastwood 3, Napoleon 3
At Napoleon, Saige Smith had two goals and Kate Nicely had three assists as Eastwood gained a non-league
tie. The Eagles are 6-5-4 overall.
Brooke Long scored Eastwood’s other goal and Kristen Martin was in goal for the Eagles.

Northwood 0
Northwood’s Megan Hess finished with 12 saves in a loss to Toledo Central Catholic.

Rossford’s Saleh loses
At Sandusky, Rossford senior Hannah Saleh lost her first-round match in the Division II district
tournament.
Oak Harbor freshman Ashley LaFountain posted a 6-0, 6-3 win over Saleh.
The tournament was moved from Port Clinton High School to the Baywinds Athletic Club because of the
weather.
VOLLEYBALL
Northwood wins
At Northwood, the Rangers improved to 12-7 overall with a 25-18, 25-12, 25-10 non-league win over
Swanton.
Northwood’s leaders were: Shelby Gasiorowski, 11 digs, two aces; Liz Gardyza, four kills, four aces;
Sammie Brisbin, 10 digs; Brittney Whitmore, nine digs; Chelsea Guadarrama, four aces; Shannon Robedeau,
10 assists; and Alyssa Rable, 13 assists.
NB loses to Vanlue
At North Baltimore, Vanlue was a 25-17, 15-25, 25-23, 20-25, 15-13 winner over the Tigers in a non-league
match.
NB’s leaders were: Courtney Lincoln, four aces, seven kills, 12 digs; Megan Grilliot, two aces, six
kills, two assists, 11 digs; Leona Euler, two aces, 13 kills, four digs, six blocks; Ciara Hernandez,
six kills; Chelsey Woodruff, 13 digs; and Samantha Trimble, 29 assists, 14 digs.
Elmwood loses
At Jerry City, Liberty-Benton was a 25-19, 25-16, 25-20 winner Tuesday over Elmwood in a non-league
match.
Elmwood’s leaders were: Amanda Peters, 10 kills, two blocks, seven aces; Kori Reiser, three kills;
Brittany George, Kylie Snowden, Katie Bradford, 10 digs each; LeeAnn Irwin, eight kills, 20 assists, 10
digs; and Sam Pollard, 25 digs.
