Bowling Green senior safety P.J. Mahone, who was suspended for an undisclosed violation of team rules
after the first two games of the season, is back practicing with the team. He’ll be working with the
scout team for the time being.
“There’s a number of things that I’ve told P.J. he has to do, if he’s going to rejoin the team,” BG head
coach Dave Clawson said Wednesday. “So far he has done all of them.
“There is an opportunity for him to play in November. It’s been laid out pretty clearly what he needs to
do and so far he’s done that and if he continues to do that, he’ll play again here.”
Mahone will not play this week or next week. Bowling Green’s first game in November is Nov. 3 at Buffalo.

“We’re hoping it works out, but ultimately it’s up to P.J.,” Clawson said.
Mahone made 21 tackles in this first two games of the season and for his career Mahone has 237 tackles
and 10 interceptions.
