PERRYSBURG – Two Milford residents were taken to the hospital Wednesday after their vehicle slid and
rolled down the I-75/I-475 interchange.
The Perrysburg Police Division reports that a pickup truck driven by Arthur Hughes, 58, was northbound on
I-75 just before 12:08 p.m. and entered the ramp to northbound I-475. The driver lost control of the
truck and struck the guard rail twice, which caused the truck to climb over the guard rail, according to
a release from the police division.
The truck then slid and rolled down the embankment about 123 feet before coming to rest on its side.
Hughes and a passenger, Victoria Hughes, 48, were transported to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center,
Toledo.
The police division is cautioning motorists to be aware of their surroundings as the weather turns cooler
and wet surfaces approach freezing temperatures.
