Tony Gerwin scored three goals and A.J. Rodgers added two goals and two assists Monday to help Otsego’s
boys soccer team to an 8-1 win at Swanton.
Kodie Glosser, Taylor Frost and Andrew Austin scored Otsego’s other goals, and Mark Young and Zach Dawson
each had two assists.
Brandy Kane and Logan Dauer both had one assist for the Knights. Goalkeepers Jacob Stvartak and Tom
Rogers combined for five saves, three by Stvartak.
Otsego’s is 6-7-1 overall.

In Toledo, Otsego’s Jess Beaverson made four save and four different players each had a goal in the
shutout win Monday.
Aimee Whitmer, Lindsay Long, Kenzie Chalfant and Macy-Cat Roehl each scored a goal. Chalfant and Corinne
Fonseca each added an assist.
On Saturday, Jourdan Niemiec scored twice on penalty kicks to help Otsego beat Toledo Waite, 4-1.
Chalfant had a goal and an assist and Long scored a goal. Beaverson made two saves.

In Toledo on Saturday, Bowling Green beat Toledo Christian. Stephanie Palmer scored for the Bobcats and
Marissa Milligan had eight saves in goal.

Stritch downs Northwood
In Northwood, Cardinal Stritch defeated the Rangers, 25-16, 25-23, 22-25, 20-25, 15-8. The Rangers are
11-7 overall and finished 6-4 in the Toledo Area Athletic Conference.
Northwood’s leaders were: Shelby Gasiorowski, 21 kills, 17 digs, four aces; Shayna Hague, seven kills;
Sammie Brisbin, 13 digs, three aces; Shannon Robedeau, 16 assists, five kills; and Alyssa Rable, 10
assists.
