Irene M. Giaimo, age 91 of Perrysburg Township, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2009 at Hospice of
Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg surrounded by her family.
She was born on September 26, 1918 in Blairsville, PA to Charles and Lillian (Mermer) Saradin. Irene had
worked for the Rossford Ordnance Depot, U.S. Post Office and was a clerk for Perrysburg Township. She
was a member of St. Rose Church in Perrysburg.
Surviving are her children, Irene Shiple, Kenneth (Janet) Giaimo, Charlotte "Jeri" Scholle,
Charles (Christina) Giaimo and Fred (Nancy) Giaimo. Also surviving are many grandchildren,
great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony; daughter, Barbara Giaimo; brother, Charles Saradin;
three grandchildren; and two sons-in-law, John Scholle and Jerry Shiple.
Family and friends may visit at the Sujkowski Funeral Home of Rossford, 830 Lime City Rd. on Friday,
October 9 from 10:00 AM till time of memorial service beginning at 11:00 AM. with Rev. Marvin Borger
officiating. Interment will follow at St. Rose Cemetery in Perrysburg.
The family would like to thank the staff at Hospice of Northwest Ohio for the special care given to
Irene. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of
Northwest Ohio.
