RR gates to go at W. Millgrove Road
The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio has approved construction authorization from the Ohio Rail
Development Commission directing three railroad companies to install flashing lights and roadway gates
at grade crossings in Wood County.
CSX Transportation will install flashing lights and roadway gates at the Township Road 36/West Millgrove
Road grade crossing.
Funding for this upgrade will be provided through federal funds. The railroads will be responsible for
completing construction of the upgrades by Sept. 30, 2010.
Baked steak dinner in Weston
WESTON – Weston American Legion Post No. 409 will offer a baked steak supper Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at
the post home at 13080 Main St.
The cost will be $7 per meal. Carry-out meals will be available.
Cygnet BPA meets Monday
CYGNET – Monday’s Board of Public Affairs meeting will be the third public meeting to discuss the
proposed $10-a-month Water Distribution Maintenance Fee.
The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. The fee is scheduled to be adopted at that meeting.
A lack of revenue has made it impossible for the village to repair water main breaks and meter
replacements. Nor does it have the money to pay for other emergency repair work.
Brush pick-up in Weston Monday
WESTON – The village’s brush pick-up will start Monday and run for one week. Have brush to curbside by 7
a.m. Monday, as crews will not return to a street once it has been serviced.
No leaves, garden waste, rose bushes, stumps, trunks or whole trees will be accepted.
