Garage sale aids cancer fund
AMVETS Post No. 711 in Bowling Green will hold garage sale to benefit the auxiliary’s cancer fund. The
sale will be Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the post home, 1048 N. Main St.
PERS group meets Thurs.
The PERS group will meet Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Wood County Senior Center, 305 N. Main St., Bowling
Green.
Pemberville PD warns of scam
PEMBERVILLE – The Pemberville Police Department is advising senior citizens to be on the lookout for a
scam that has been occurring in and around the village.
Subjects are contacting elderly citizens via e-mail or telephone and advising them the subject is with
the FBI and the citizen needs to send money to a wired account or be arrested for an alleged criminal
offense. The subject(s) continually harass the elderly citizen via threatening e-mails, regular mail on
FBI letterhead, or telephone calls.
Anyone who has been contacted by these subjects should contact their local law enforcement agency.
Food giveaway is Friday in BG
First United Methodist Church, Bowling Green, will hold its food distriction and senior food box program
on Friday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the church, 1526 E. Wooster St.
