Pork producers donate meat

For the first time, Ohio’s foodbanks have partnered with Ohio hog farmers on a statewide effort, Pork
Power: Partnering to Fight Hunger in Ohio.
The program is a joint effort of the Ohio Pork Producers Council, and others, who hope to contribute
100,000 pounds, or 500,000 servings, of pork through April 30, 2010, to be distributed through 12 Ohio
foodbanks.
Toledo Northwestern Ohio Foodbank’s pork was donated by Archbold Elevator, and will be distributed
through the foodbank’s eight-county service area, including Wood County.
