BG begins brush pick-up Oct. 5
Curbside brush collection will begin in Bowling Green on Oct. 5. Residents who receive city-provided
refuse/recycling service are eligible for the brush pick up.
Brush must be at the curb by 7 a.m. on Oct. 5 – but should not be at curbside any sooner than one week
prior to the collection. There will be only one pick-up; once crews leave a street, they will not
return.
Limbs and brush should not be bundled. Stumps and limbs in excess of 24 inches in diameter and 10 feet in
length will not be picked up. Brush mixed with leaves or other yard debris will not be collected.

Elmwood choir has rehearsal
JERRY CITY – The Elmwood Community Choir will begin rehearsals for its annual Christmas program on
Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. in the high school choir room.
This year the choir will prepare the newly released cantata "The Promise of Light."
The concert, now in its 13th year, is sponsored by the North Baltimore Area Cooperative Ministries and
will be presented Dec. 6.
Any area singer is welcome to be part of the choir.

Euchre tourney in Walbridge
WALBRIDGE – A euchre tournament will be hosted by Walbridge VFW Post 9963, at 109 N. Main St., on Oct. 3
from 1 p.m. until finished.
The $10 entry fee will include lunch. First, second and third place winners will win cash prizes, and the
fourth place winner will receive free entry in the next tournament.
The tournament is sponsored on the first Saturday of every month by the post’s men’s auxiliary.
