Religious sisters provided mini-golf outing

On Oct. 10, the Toledo Serra Club will be hosting the Helen Coyle Memorial 10th Annual Appreciation
Miniature Golf Outing and Luncheon for the sisters of our diocese.
The event will be held Bedford Hills Golf Course, 6400 Jackman Road, Temperance, Mich.
Organizers in a press release said this is their way to "Thank God for our sisters and their
vocations."
The Serra Club is the largest, Catholic, lay organization in the world dedicated to the recruitment and
affirmation of vocations to the priesthood and the religious life, and this is a small token of
appreciation to the religious sisters who have touched the lives of countless people over the years
through their work and ministry.
At the outing, the sisters enjoy an afternoon of camaraderie with nuns from various orders as they
receive fresh flower corsages, golf cart rides, a wonderful luncheon, the miniature golf tournament,
complete with trophies, and ice cream treats.
The highlight of the afternoon is the prize raffle. The Sylvania Franciscans are the defending mini-golf
champions.
In order to hold this event, the Toledo Serra Club seeks support from businesses, individuals and
organizations willing to donate a door prize. Organizers are hoping to have enough door prizes to have a
prize for everyone in attendance.
Donors are invited to attend the raffle and watch the miniature golf tournament.
