Raczkowski resigns at Lake
MILLBURY – The former principal at Lake Elementary has resigned for a position at another school.
The Lake Board of Education at Wednesday’s meeting accepted the resignation of Paul Raczkowski, grants
coordinator, effective Sept. 1.
He had been the Lake Elementary principal until this school year when Christie McPherson was hired.
Raczkowski is going to be the dean of students for Knight Academy charter school which is affiliated with
St. Francis de Sales High School in Toledo.
Also at the meeting, the board approved appropriations for Fiscal Year 2009-10 totaling $18.42 million.
Treasurer Jeff Carpenter said last year’s appropriations were $18.40 million.
The board accepted donations of $500 in school supplies each from Main Street Church and St. Paul’s
United Methodist, $25 in school supplies from Mary McGinnis, and $120 in children’s books from Connie
Pindoley.
RHS powder puff game helps Pregnancy Center
ROSSFORD – Rossford High School will hold its second annual Powder Puff game on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at
Jackson Ferguson Stadium.
Senior girls will be playing the junior girls.
The tickets cost $2 at the gates and all proceeds will go to benefit the Pregnancy Center of Greater
Toledo.
Eastwood Afterprom meets
The Eastwood Afterprom Committee is meeting for the first time on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the high school
cafeteria. Any junior or senior parent is welcome to participate.
