Perrysburg cancels meetings
PERRYSBURG — The city’s Planning and Zoning Committee, along with its Recreation Committee, have canceled
their meetings for tonight due to lack of agenda items. Both committees will next meet Oct. 19. Planning
and Zoning’s next meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m., and Recreation will be held at 5:30 that evening.

Camp out at Van Buren park
The second annual Fall Family Campout at Van Buren State Park will be Friday and Saturday.
Friday night will include a moonlight showing of the movie “Bolt,” and Saturday will include a
scarecrow-building contest, pumpkin painting, free canoe rentals, camper potluck dinner, hayrides and a
marshmallow roast.

Register for swim lessons at BGSU
Registration is now open for small group swim lessons at the Bowling Green State University Rec Center.

American Red Cross levels parent/child through age 5 are being offered by certified instructors
Session one runs Tuesday through Oct. 8, while session two runs Nov. 3-19. Both sessions run Tuesday and
Thursday evenings from 6 to 8 p.m.
Private and semi-private lessons are also available.

Wood Workers Guild meets
The Northwest Ohio Wood Workers Guild will hod its first meeting of the 2009-10 year on Tuesday at 7:#0
p.m. in the Bowling Green High School ag ed/FFA classroom and shop.
The presentation topic is using and sharpening wood scrapers in the finishing process.
Guild meetings are open to the public and visitors are encouraged.
