Dale W. Larson, age 81, of Oregon Road, Perrysburg Township, died Thursday (Sept. 17, 2009) at the home
of his son in Bowling Green.
Mr. Larson was a U.S. Navy veteran and worked as a corporate pilot for Owens-Illinois for 35 years,
retiring in 1987.
He served two terms as a Perrysburg Township Trustee.
Mr. Larson was a former member of the Perrysburg Phoenix Lodge #123 F&AM, a former member of the
Scottish Rite Valley of Toledo, past director and president for the Zenobia Lancers, and president of
the Zenobia Pilots in 1998. He was a member of the Quiet Birdmen and American Legion Post 28 in
Perrysburg.
He was born July 29, 1928, to Walter E. and Jenny Ruth (Johns) Larson. He married Constance
"Connie" Wiemeyer on Dec. 10, 1951 in Toledo. She preceded him on Sept. 12, 1995.
Mr. Larson is survived by one daughter, Cathy (Bill) Manning, of Dumfries, Va., and two sons, David
(Christy) of Asheville, N.C., and Eric (Jan) of Bowling Green; grandchildren, Sarah, Stephanie,
Jonathan, Anna and Alexia; and significant other, Enith Smalley.
He was preceded by a brother, Wayne, Gibsonburg.
The funeral will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home in Perrysburg.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m.; Rev. Gary Saunders will officiate. Burial will be
in New Belleville Ridge Cemetery, Dowling.
