Doris H. Weiker, 88, formerly of Ohio Ave. and a resident of Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Fostoria, died
Monday, Sept. 14, 2009 at 3:05 a.m. at Fostoria Community Hospital.
She was born Jan. 16, 1921 in Bowling Green, Ohio, to John and Myrtle Stevens Nelson. She married Francis
W. Weiker on Feb. 15, 1944 in Bowling Green. He died in 1983.
Surviving are a son, Francis D. (Dawn) Weiker of Fostoria; two grandchildren, Angie (Eugene Chancey)
Kirian of Fostoria and Lisa (Bob) Pergram of Carey; and three great-grandchildren, Alec Weiker, Seth
Kirian and Caleb Pergram.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, John, Eldon and Bernard Nelson; sisters,
Nola Barber, Violet Schroeder, Vernice Nixon, Gladys Baker and Ruth Nelson.
Mrs. Weiker was a homemaker.
The funeral services will be held on Wed. Sept. 16, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home
in Fostoria. Rev. Donald Goodwin will officiate. Burial will be in Fountain Cemetery in Fostoria.
Visitation is Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2009 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home
