Jennifer Haviland and Kevin Grimm exchanged wedding vows July 11 at The Plains United Methodist Church in
The Plains, Ohio.
Raymond Haggard officiated the 2:30 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Richard and Rhonda Haviland, Defiance. The groom is the son of Ron and Nancy
Grimm, Oriole Drive, Bowling Green.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a strapless white, floor-length gown with beading above
the waist and edging both the bodice and hemline. Her cathedral-length veil was attached to a tiara of
seed pearls and crystals.
Melissa Hoelzle, Fremont, was the maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Amy Grimm of Bowling Green, sister of the groom; Stephanie Day, Westerville; and
Michelle Stapleton, Centerville. They wore blue velvet dresses with classic boat necklines and short
hemlines.
Brian Fornshell, Lebanon, Ohio, served as best man.
Ushers were Amanda Holtsberry and Brad Hackworth, Defiance.
Vocalists for the ceremony were Amanda Obrzut and Kathryn Haver.
A reception was held in the Nelson Commons on the Ohio University campus with music furnished by DJ Ryan
Smith.
Following a wedding trip to Orlando, Fla., the newlyweds are at home at 186 Mill St. No. 1312, Athens,
Ohio 45701.
The bride earned a bachelor’s degree from Ohio University in June of this year. She is currently pursuing
a Master of Education in the college student personnel program at OU, where she is a graduate assistant
in the university’s Dean of Students Office.
The groom earned a Bachelor of Arts from Bowling Green State University in 2005 and a Master of Arts from
Ohio University in 2008. He is presently a teaching assistant in the history department at OU, where he
is pursuing a Ph.D. in History.
