Bonnie Jean Diemer, age 82, of Napoleon, Ohio, died Tuesday afternoon at The Toledo Hospital.
Born September 9, 1926 in Rudolph, Ohio, the daughter of the late Edgar and Esther (Jones) Patterson. On
January 26, 1947 she married Howard W. Diemer and he preceded her in death on December 8, 2005.
Bonnie was a member of the First Baptist Church in Napoleon and the W.M.U. at the church. She was a
loving mother and grandmother and a former employee of the Filling Home of Mercy.
Surviving is one daughter, Karen (Ralph) Geil of Napoleon; two granddaughters, Wendy Geil and Traci
Gerdeman, both of Napoleon; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Thelma Rose.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 12, 2009 at the First Baptist Church, Rev. Tom
Reynolds and Charles Alley, officiating. Interment will follow at Riverview Memory Gardens, rural
Defiance County.
Friends will be received on Friday from 2 through 8 p.m. at the Walker Mortuary, Napoleon, and on
Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.
The family has suggested that memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, The Gideons, or
a charity of the donor’s choice.
