BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Officials at Tractor Supply Company and Carhartt have recently announced they will
serve as the sponsor and co-sponsor, respectively, of Harvest for America, an FFA Alumni-led program
aimed at collecting food donations for those in need in five states across the country, including Ohio
and Michigan.
With the assistance of TSC officials, FFA Alumni members will be responsible for working with current FFA
members to promote and organize events and collection sites while working closely with local food banks
to ensure proper distribution. TSC will provide each participating FFA chapter with donation bins,
promotional materials and space for bins inside each participating Tractor Supply store.
"Tractor Supply Company has been a proud FFA sponsor for more than 24 years," said Jonathan
Swiskow, director of marketing at TSC. "Our partnership in the Harvest for America program not only
strengthens our stewardship in developing the future leaders of our agriculture industry, but, more
importantly, it’s helping feed those in need during a tough economic time."
The series of food drives in the participating states will be conducted over a six-month period. During
that time, each participating FFA chapter will be required to organize three food drive events as well
as organize one food drive in conjunction with an existing local event or develop one independent event
during that time.
In addition to TSC stores, collection bins will be available at grocery stores, high school football
games, and other heavy traffic sites where FFA students feel will generate substantial food donations.

The FFA chapter from each participating state with the highest number of donations will receive a number
of incentives including a free trip to the FFA National Leadership Conference in Washington D.C., a free
trip to their state FFA Leadership Conference and a $500 Tractor Supply gift card. Also three FFA
members will be selected for a free trip to a Tractor Supply manager’s meeting in Nashville, Tenn.
