Lance Cpl. Adam Purdy, of Bowling Green, is stationed at Cherry Point, N.C., and plans to become a
helicopter pilot. He also received training at Pensicola, Fla., and San Diego. The son of Tim and Sherry
Purdy, he graduated in October from basic training at Parris Island, S.C., and from Bowling Green High
School in 2008.
