WEDNESDAY
Bassoonist Nathaniel Zeisler and pianist Robert Satterlee will perform "Sonata for Bassoon and
Piano" by Alec Wilder and "Concerto in C Major" by J.F. Fasch at 8 p.m. in Bryan Recital
Hall of the Moore Musical Arts Center.
THURSDAY
Poet Laural Adams and fiction writer Matt Bell, graduate students in the Creative Writing Program, will
read from their work at 7:30 p.m. in Prout Chapel.
SATURDAY
A juried exhibition of high school artwork from northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan, "FOCUS"
opens in the Dorothy Uber Bryan Gallery in the Fine Arts Center. Featuring 286 entries from students at
26 schools, the exhibit continues through Oct. 4. Hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday, 6-9 p.m.
Thursdays and 1-4 p.m. Sundays.
SEPT. 8
"Tuesdays at the Gish" film series opens with "Bad Taste" by Peter Jackson at 7:30
p.m. in the Gish Film Theater in Hanna Hall. The 1987 film, Jackson’s first feature-length effort,
follows a group of special government agents in their attempt to save the world from flesh-harvesting
aliens.
SEPT. 9
"There Will Be Oil," an exhibition of paintings by Seth Bordner, opens in the Bowen-Thompson
Student Union Art Gallery. The exhibition continues through Sept. 28. Gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sundays.
AT THE GALLERIES
"UpScaled/DownSized," an exhibition of drawings and paintings by 14 artists who portray big
subjects in small formats, continues through Oct. 4 in the Willard Wankelman Gallery of the Fine Arts
Center.. Hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday, 6-9 p.m. Thursdays and 1-4 p.m. Sundays. Free.

"Loss and Desire," an exhibition of paintings by senior Ross Roadruck of Cincinnati, continues
through Sunday in the Bowen-Thompson Student Union Art Gallery.
