The following events will take place the week of Aug. 31 – Sept. 4 at the Wood County Senior Center, 305
N. Main St., Bowling Green.
MONDAY
9 a.m. Get Fit – Exercise by video
12 p.m. Lunch: Turkey casserole or stuffed pepper
1-4 p.m. Cards: Contract Bridge and Euchre
TUESDAY
9 a.m. Trip: Cedar Point – advance registration required
9 a.m. Breakfast Club: Big Boy, 1006 N. Main St., Bowling Green
– registration required
10 a.m. Program: Wii Fit Challenge – advance registration required
12 p.m. Lunch: Beef and noodles or pork chopette
5:30 p.m. Dinner: Baked ham, baked sweet potato
6 p.m. Program: Dominoes
WEDNESDAY
9 a.m. Exercise Class: $1 donation – registration required
12 p.m. Lunch: Chipped ham or tuna salad
2 p.m. Grocery Shopping at Kroger
5:30 p.m. Dinner: Sausage, egg, and cheese omelet, hash browns
THURSDAY
10 a.m. Class: Writers Group
12 p.m. Lunch: Roast pork or chicken nuggets
1-4 p.m. Cards: Pinochle
5:30 p.m. Dinner: Beef stroganoff, carrots
6 p.m. Program: Dominoes
FRIDAY, SEPT. 4
9 a.m. Exercise Class: $1 donation – registration required
10 a.m. Watercolor Art Class: Free and open to the public; bring own supplies
12 p.m. Lunch:
Goulash or salmon croquette
1 p.m. Program: Wii Bowling
No person over 60 shall be denied nutrition services because of failure to contribute all or part of the
cost.
Participants shall determine for themselves what they are able to contribute.
A $2 suggested donation is appreciated for lunches and $4 for dinners.
Dinner reservations are needed by 2 p.m. of that day.

ADVANCE PLANNING
My Generation Party: Sept. 10 from 4:30-7 p.m. Grandchildren and grandparents alike are invited to an
evening of music, games and magical entertainment.
Dinner to include: chicken wings, fries, coleslaw, fruited Jell-O and pumpkin cheesecake.
Children’s tickets are $2 and those over 60 suggested donation of $4. Advance registration required by 2
p.m. on Sept. 10.
Prairie Trolley trip: Sept. 21 – meet there at 12:15 p.m. Roll along the Slippery Elm Trail from Bowling
Green to Rudolph. Sit back and relax while learning about the different plants and landscape the trail
has to offer.
Registration required as there is room for 13 on the trolley.
"Cooking for Everyone" class: Monday, Sept. 28 from 3-4:30 p.m.
Cost: $3.
Both men and women, this class is for anyone are interested in creating nutritious meals that are
freezer-ready and quick to prepare.
No previous cooking abilities required, as you will learn all the skills you need to know to make a great
meal.
This session will provide a hands-on experience that is fun and social.
Registration required; there is only room for 10 in the kitchen.
AARP Driver Safety program: Oct. 8 from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. This course is designed to refresh one’s memory
and fine tune response to everyday driving.
Participation is this type of program may reduce your insurance cost; refer to your insurance agent for
clarification.
Fee is $12 for AARP members and $14 for non-AARP members.
