2 men arrested after Ohio mom reads teen texts
TIPP CITY, Ohio (AP) – A 15-year-old girl’s mother alarmed by texts from two men helped lead to their
arrests.
Police in the Dayton suburb of Tipp City say the men were looking to meet the teen girl for sex. They say
after the mother saw the text messages to her daughter, she contacted police.
Police say they contacted the men, who were arrested last week when they came separately to an address
they thought was provided by the girl.
Marc Burns, 35, of Beavercreek, Ohio, and 41-year-old Alonzie Wright Jr. of Dayton have both pleaded not
guilty to a count of importuning.
The police say they encourage parents to monitor their children’s electronic communications.
