PEMBERVILLE – The 73rd John and Eliza Sieving family reunion was held Aug. 16 at Riverview Banquet Hall,
with 100 people present for the potluck dinner.
Kenneth Sieving welcomed everyone and led the group in prayer. Hosts for this year’s reunion were the
children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren of the late Harmon Sieving.
Since last year’s reunion there was one new marriage: Arik Witker to Angela Pickerel in June. Two more
are coming up in September: Luke Sundermeier to Tausha Posnai and Jacob Sieving to Nicole Harbauer.
Eight births in the past year are Grayson Anthony to Chad and Amy Puckett, and Ella Marie to Steven and
Sara Roberts, in 2008; Lucy to Dave and Katrina Livengood, Arianna to Arik and Beth Bench, Lucas to
Jacob Sieving and Nicole Harbauer, Justin to Scott and Kanah Heckman, Logan to Jeffrey and Laura Short,
and Brayden to Andrew and Amy Luidhardt, all in 2009. In addition, Cora Elizabeth, born Nov. 30, 2007,
is the adopted daughter of Amanda and Tony King.
Family came from as far away as Florida, Iowa, Louisiana and California.
Those present played cards and took pictures.
The group decided to have the reunion again next year on the third Sunday in August 2010 at the same
hall. There will be an increase in hall rental. The Karl Sieving and Henry Sieving family members will
be hosts.
