Liane Paulette (Vachon) Pauly, 61, of Perrysburg passed away in her home Monday, August 24, 2009.
Liane was born April 22, 1948 in Matachewan, Ontario, Canada to Henry and Leola (Poirier) Vachon and on
December 28, 1968 married Robert Glenn Pauly in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada. She became a U.S. citizen on
June 22, 1979.
Liane was a loving wife, mother and homemaker who dedicated her life to caring for and spending time with
her family.
She was a devout member of St. Rose Catholic Church where she participated in several groups including
choir, Helping Hands, CCD instruction, and vacation Bible school.
You could often find Liane spending time along side her husband outdoors. She enjoyed many hobbies
including home improvement projects, gardening, playing tennis, walking, biking, sewing, baking, and
reading.
Liane had a gift of communication. Whether you were nine or 99, Liane enjoyed exchanging stories to share
life experiences. Her peaceful and giving nature was ever present throughout her life.
She is survived by her husband, Bob; son, Ryan (Leah) Pauly of Brooklyn, New York; daughters, Sara (Kent)
Waugh of Orlando, Florida and Laura (Angelo) Sanchez of Perrysburg; grandchildren, Angelo Dominic
Sanchez and Shiloh Soleil Waugh; mother, Leola Bozek of Sarnia; sister, Lise (Bernie) Schoenberg of
Sarnia; brothers, Gilles Vachon of Sarnia; Guy (Doreen) Vachon of California; and Claude (Sharon) Vachon
of Sarnia.
She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Vachon who passed away in August of 2007.
Friends will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. on Friday, August 28, 2009 in the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home,
222 E. South Boundary, Perrysburg (419-874-3133) where a scripture service will begin at 7 p.m.
Prayers will be recited in the funeral home on Saturday, August 29, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. followed by 10 a.m.
Mass of Christian Burial in St. Rose Church. Burial will be private.
