Lois A. Bugner, 74, of rural Fostoria, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at home,
Sunday morning, August 23, 2009.
Lois was born July 20, 1935 in Portage Township, Hancock County, to the late Noah M. and Florence E.
(Cline) Spitler. She married Ronald Kelly in June 1953 and they divorced. She then married Martin Bugner
on December 9, 1978 and he died April 4, 2005.
Surviving are her children, Colleen (Terry Sparks) Kelly, Fostoria; Laurie (Jeff) Wright, Wayne; Karen
(Arnold) Scherger, Findlay; Linda (Bobby) Crace, Findlay; Debbie (Ken) Brooks, Wayne; Joe (Aida) Bugner,
Fostoria; Jeff (Cathy) Bugner, Rawson; Tina Adams, Coweta, Okla.; Ron Bugner, Pequea, Penn.; Gina (Brad)
Bloomfield, Findlay; and Tonya Bugner, Findlay; 27 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Cydney Batterson, and a brother, Roy C. Spitler.

Lois was the co-owner with her husband, Martin, of Bugner Enterprises, J & L Transportation, 224
Petfood Mart drive-thru, and Buckeye Cedar Products of Peebles, Ohio. She had also worked for Plum Run
Stone Quarry, Peebles and Ankey Insurance Co., North Baltimore.
She was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church and its Rosary-Altar Society, a committee member and
graduate of the McComb High School class of 1953. She served on the Hancock County Board of Elections,
and was a former Girl Scout leader.
Visitation is Wednesday from 2 to 8 p.m. at HOENING FUNERAL HOME, 242 W. Tiffin Street, Fostoria, where a
Christian Wake service will be held at 3:45 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial is Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria, where a
Rosary will be prayed at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, McComb.
Memorials are suggested to Bridge Hospice, Findlay.
