Carla S. Harpster, 49, of Wayne, died Friday, Aug. 21, 2009 at Firelands Regional Medical Center,
Sandusky.
She was born Sept. 3, 1959 in Bowling Green to D. John and Lois J. (Carr) Althaus.
She married Robert L. Harpster Oct. 1, 1976 in Brander and he survives.
Also surviving are her father, John Althaus, Wayne; two sons, Ben K. (Devon) Harpster, Bradner, and Jared
M. (Cheryl) Harpster, Rossford; two brothers, Ron (Cindy) Althaus, Perrysburg, and Randy (Cynthia)
Althaus, Wayne; and grandchildren Jason and Aaron.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
Carla liked camping, ATV riding, crafts and her many cats, but her real passion was her love for her
grandchildren and what she was most proud of in her life was just being a mom.
She was a member of Wayne United Methodist Church and a 1978 graduate of Elmwood High School.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Barndt Funeral Home, Wayne. John Amstutz
will offciaite.
Burial will be in Graham Cemetery, Wayne.
Visitation will be Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Barndt Funeral Funeral Home, Wayne.
